Steps to Open Escrow

Let’s learn the steps that you take when opening an escrow. First, you will send the purchase contract and other documents to the escrow officer. The escrow officer will send you the escrow number and the opening packet. You will also need to have certain contacts ready for the escrow officer.

Second, you will need to verify the earnest money deposit was received.

Third, you will need to get your seller clients to complete the disclosures.

Fourth, get your sellers to complete the Statement of Information.

Lastly, you will examine the preliminary title report, and you are well on your way to getting the escrow closed!
